Plasson IPS Series 1 - NPT Male Adapter is used to connect polyethylene (PE/HDPE) pipe to female threaded (NPT) components in pressure water lines. These fittings are designed for quick, tool-free installation in plumbing, irrigation, and civil applications.

Push-Fit Fittings are designed to connect pipe by simply pushing the pipe into the fitting - no tools, clamps, or adhesives required.

  • They seal using an internal O-ring and a grip ring
  • They can usually be removed using a release tool on the collar.

However:

  • Once removed, the internal components (especially the O-ring and gripping teeth) may wear or deform slightly.
  • Because of this, the manufacturer may classify them as "limited one -time use" or recommend reduced reuse. 
  • Reusing them can shorten their lifespan and may increase the risk of leaks.
